Estancia El Pedregal is located 650 meters above sea level and is part of Trinidad County. Trinidad is located in the central eastern part of the department of Santa Barbara in Honduras, Central America.
Trinidad is located between the two rivers, the “Ulúa” and the “Chamelecón” with an area of 251.8 km². The area surrounding Trinidad is predominantly tropical forests, with an irregular mountainous topography.
Trinidad’s flora and fauna is diverse. For example, one may find pine, oak, cedar and san juan trees. There is also a diverse population of birds including “zorzales”, “chileros”, wood peckers, owls, and tucans. Animals that may be found in the area include wild cats, deer, raccoons, squirrels, armadillos, and badgers. Various varieties of poisoness and non-poisoness snakes.
Trinidad is a picturesque small town with a tropical climate. As it was founded in 1794 by spanish colonizers of jewish heritage, Trinidad, the Coffee City has a rich history and culture. Colonial architecture is predominant in the town and distinguishes it from other coffee growing towns. Trinidad is the main business center for villages in the surrounding area.
